Mantle
The Mantle is the Earth's largest layer, covering 84% of the Earth's volume. The temperature of the Mantle ranges from 1000°C to 4000°C. The Mantle is probably the most interesting layer because there are two parts to it. The first one being the Lithosphere which is the top layer composed of solid Iron-Nickel Alloy. The bottom layer is called the Asthenosphere. This layer has the same composition of the Lithosphere but it is a very thick molasses like substance. The Asthenosphere is four times warmer than the Lithosphere as it is closer to the middle of the Earth.
